Sara Sultan
Chief Executive Officer
Sara has been working in social performance and human rights since 2008, predominantly in the mining and energy sectors. She builds pragmatic and feasible frameworks with clients and regulators to drive compliance with the IFC Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability, the United Nations Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights and other industry benchmarks.
Sara has designed data collection and management systems tailored to individual projects. She has managed resettlement planning and implementation, moderated negotiation forums and audited resettlement outcomes. She has built gender-based violence prevention programming and integrated critical considerations of health, gender and vulnerability into proponent’s operations. She has written and implemented the full range of social management plans and enjoys representing clients in discussions with lenders tracking social compliance.
Sara has held site-based roles in Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, Peru, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali, Senegal, and Serbia. She has lived and worked across Canada, Europe, Africa, and Latin America. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Anthropology from McGill University and a Master of Science in Conflict and Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London, UK.
Allison Fedorkiw
Chief Operations Officer
Allison has been working as a social performance expert since 2011, predominantly in the mining industry. Her expertise in social compliance makes her a valuable asset for clients aiming to obtain project financing, particularly those aiming to comply with the IFC Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability.
Throughout her career, Allison has managed resettlements, stakeholder engagement, local content and community investments. She is known for her exceptional strategic planning skills and her ability to navigate complex social challenges. Her site-based experience, ability to right-size solutions to a project’s context, and dedication to ethical standards and collaboration sets her apart as a trusted leader in her field.
Allison has held site-based roles in Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana and has worked on projects in Canada, Latin America and other areas of Sub-Saharan Africa. She has a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology from the University of Alberta and a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Northern British Columbia and she serves as an Independent Director of GoviEx Uranium Inc.
